The Diocese of Salisbury is in the ecclesiastical province of Canterbury which, together with the province of York, comprises the Church of England. The Diocese covers most of Wiltshire and most of Dorset and a very small part of Hampshire, and includes 459 parishes. The Diocese is led by the Bishop of Salisbury (The Right Reverend Stephen Lake) who is assisted by the Bishop of Ramsbury (The Right Reverend Dr Andrew Rumsey) and the Bishop of Sherborne (The Right Reverend Karen Gorham). The Diocese is subdivided into four archdeaconries. The Benefice of North Bradley, Southwick, Heywood and Steeple Ashton is in the Archdeaconry of Wilts, whose archdeacon is The Venerable Dr Sue Groom.
